Afloat includes event import designed for real-world club and marina operations. Download a sample spreadsheet, fill it in, and upload it when you’re ready. The platform accepts CSV, XLSX, or XLS formats, ideal when you’re exporting from another marina management platform, a yacht club platform, or even a shared spreadsheet.

To protect your data quality, Afloat shows a preview before anything is committed. You can check the parsed events, make adjustments, and then start the import with confidence, keeping your calendar clean and usable from day one.

When importing events, Afloat can connect each event to an existing series or duty setup without requiring perfect IDs every time. If you have the series ID (the ULID from the URL), you can paste it directly for a precise link.

If you don’t have IDs, you can enter a name instead and Afloat will use fuzzy search to find the closest match. The same approach works for duties. This saves time during migration and helps clubs and marinas keep a tidy structure, without manually hunting through records to connect everything after the fact.

Bring over the details that make your events usable.

Event pages matter, especially for signups, training, social nights, and racing. During import, you can include links to logo images and header images, and Afloat will pull them in as part of the setup.

You can also populate key fields like event type and race type as part of the spreadsheet, so your calendar is correctly organised from the start. For true/false values, Afloat accepts “True”/“False” or 1/0, making exports from other systems easier to map without lots of formatting work.

Afloat makes it straightforward to export race results, series summaries, and participant lists for reporting, sharing, or archiving. Whether you need to send results to competitors, share outcomes with your club, or keep detailed records, you can pull out the information you need in a familiar format.

When it comes to importing race results, Afloat provides a downloadable template for each race. Simply add your results to the template and upload them, no need for manual entry or complex formatting. Live result entry and participant self-reporting are also available, so results can be recorded and updated in real time. This flexible approach ensures both accuracy and convenience for busy clubs and marinas.
