Member Management for Sailing Clubs

Afloat provides flexible membership scheme management for clubs, allowing teams to create full‑year, pro‑rata, monthly, or loyalty‑based schemes with configurable prices and set required duties. Administrators can create membership invoices and payments through the platform.

Club members view their membership on their dashboard, along with the costs involved and make payments directly online.

Clubs can quickly build their membership base by adding members manually or bulk‑importing them via CSV, ensuring fast onboarding for both small and large groups. When new members are added, customisable welcome emails can be sent, helping clubs deliver a professional first impression and provide essential information from the start.

Afloat’s boat‑park management lets clubs and marinas create storage zones with precise berth or slot locations. Each space can display a Google Map pin, a custom pin on an uploaded layout, or both. Locations can also be set using a phone’s GPS position, ensuring accurate placement and easy visual management of every stored boat.

Afloat’s digital passes provide a convenient, secure way for members to access their club. Passes are generated with QR codes or barcodes, and once activated by the Afloat team, members can add them directly to Google Wallet for quick scanning at entrances or facilities.
Clubs and marinas can remotely update pass details, such as gate codes or opening hours, without requiring members to re-download their passes. Membership can also be revoked instantly if needed. Apple Wallet support is planned to follow soon.
